Emergency Notification Systems

Mass Notification Systems (MNS) are an essential tool for Emergency Response and voice-based systems are the foundation of any MNS. Well known alert tones followed by recorded or live voice messages can be broadcast to some or all of a campus or facility.

CVSI is experienced in developing comprehensive physical security plans for campuses and commercial/industrial facilities including the latest in MNS systems and technology.

MNS systems can economically reach all buildings and outdoor venues through an existing or new IP-based backbone (wired or wireless).  Individual buildings are equipped with efficient and effective self-amplified speakers and horns.   Additional speakers and horns

to insure good voice quality in hard to reach locations are easily deployed over CAT5 structured cabling.  ADA compliant strobe lights operate in conjuction with any tone or message to alert hearing impaired.

The MNS can include two-way devices allowing students or faculty to immediately contact security staff for assistance or to inform the security office of an emergency.

Centralized control of the MNS can be placed in the Security Office with one or more back-up locations anywhere on campus.

“Voice-based notification systems are the single most effective tool for Emergency Alerts.  They directly reach the affected population with the ability to tailor a live message to the immediate situation”
