Video Surveillance
Every CVSI video surveillance solution is custom designed to meet our customer’s requirements for performance and cost. We follow a disciplined methodology for system design which balances coverage objectives, system technology, camera and recording selection, physical layout and camera placement, and power and grounding design. Each building or property represents a unique environment and our methodology enables CVSI to optimize each solution.
Digital Video Recorders
Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) provide a cost effective platform for small to medium video surveillance system. DVR products continue to evolve with larger hard disk drives for extended archival storage and MPEG-4 encoding for high picture quality with small file sizes. CVSI offers Sanyo DVRs (4-Channel and 16-Channel) which include a wide array of features such as 1TB HDD recording storage, motion-based recording and local and network-based remote monitoring.
Network Video Management Systems
Network Video Management Systems (NVMS) provide the core recording and monitoring platform for IP network-based video surveillance systems. NVMS systems are highly scalable and flexible and take advantage of the increasing cost/performance improvements in PC hardware and software. IP network-based video surveillance systems can be cost effective from small to large system, but offer unique benefits to the medium, large and enterprise class projects which cannot be met by DVR-based solutions.
CVSI offers the complete suite of OnSSI NVMS products which include the ProSIGHT SMB entry version, the NetDVR (1 to 64 cameras) and the NetDVMS enterprise-class network video management platform. The OnSSI family includes the NetGuard clients (both PC and Web-based), NetMatrix, NetSwitcher and the all new Ocularis. The NetDVMS platform supports OnSSIs video analytics offerings which can automatically detect a wide variety of behaviors and phenomenon such as bag-left-behind or loitering.

Security Cameras
Security cameras are the most important component in a video surveillance system as they capture and transform the initial image. If this component is not properly selected, the video monitoring or recording cannot met the system performance objectives. CVSI staff are experts in translating the dozens of on-paper camera specifications into real-world performance. We only recommend products that we have installed and field tested. For DVR-based applications we recommend Sanyo and Sony CCTV camera products. Both Sanyo and Sony cameras feature powerful day-night capabilities and can be installed with coax cable, UTP cable or field upgraded for IP network systems.

IP Network Cameras
Network cameras are now cost competitive with analog cameras and provide a number of benefits including advanced remote control and configuration features, high quality video encoding (JPEG, MJPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264) and remote power through Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE). CVSI offers a full range of IP network cameras for indoor and outdoor applications from Sanyo, Sony, AXIS, ACTi and IQinvision.

MegaPixel Cameras
Mega-pixel network cameras are a powerful tool in planning video surveillance coverage. With resolutions of 1, 2, 3 and 5 mega-pixels, they offer from up to 20x the picture detail. Mega-pixel camera provide an excellent return-on-investment (ROI) because a single camera installation can replace four or more standard resolution cameras. The latest generation mega-pixel network cameras have unique features to manage and reduce the bandwidth that would normally be needed for large image transfer. CVSI offers mega-pixel network cameras from IQinvision, Sony and Arecont Vision.
